Where does the water go? Overgrown Forrest and KINDERGARTEN

With it being Michael's first day of school and Forrester having a DR. appointment we started the day off right with baths for everybody.

I was the last to get in and by the time I got out Hadassah was screaming bloody murder from the kitchen. She had slipped in a puddle created from the water dripping from the bath above. Here is where I assumed the worse, a BUSTED PIPE!

We replaced the supply line for the tub before we moved in a little more than a year ago. The evidence of our handywork is still visible by the hole in the wall. And here is when I realized where the water was coming from and Michael fessed up to his experiment to find out where the water goes. It turns out he had poured a minimum of 4 large cups of water down the hole in the wall and his sister discovered where it went.

With buckets and towels in place we headed to the DR. office for Forrester's 2 month visit.

The older kids where happy that we got to go to the newly remodeled Cars room. They thought of their cousin Aaron the whole time and made sure the nurse and Dr knew about his obsession with all things Cars. Sorry no pics of the room.

Forrester is growing as he should, maybe a little more...he weighed in at 15lb 3 oz, 22 1/2" aka 98% in weight but only 50% in length. That is what I call an overgrown Forrester. But that's ok I like my babies big.

Next stop Kindergarten...

Michael has been looking forward to his first day of school for a while now, although not as long as I have. Since it's about 5 blocks between our house and the school we will be walking everday. And yes we plan to walk everyday rain, shine or snow. Michael has thus far enjoyed school except for two small complaints. He has to sit "pretzel legs" on the rug and he wants to know when he gets to ride he bus.

Trip to Hocking Hills

As previously mentioned, we went down to Hocking Hills on Saturday and did a little hiking in the Old Man's Cave area. It was cool. The kids really dug it and we all enjoyed the nice weather. We even managed to knock off a couple of geocaches while we were there. We had a good dinner as previously indicated and we all enjoyed some ice cream when we stopped so Amy could feed Forrester. Here's the pics!

Not quite the same but GREAT in it's own right.

Yesterday, we went down to Hocking Hills to spend the day at Old Man's Cave and do some hiking. (more on that next posting)
When we passed through Chilicothe and found this little treat.
Of course we stopped by on the way home for dinner due to its unique and pleasurable name.
I had the Sumburger Platter ; Special sauce on the side which was apparently a good choice cause Amy said it tasted like thousand island and tartar sauce got together for an unholy union if you know what I'm talking about.

Anywho, It wasn't quite Whataburger but it was......SUMBURGER. Pretty good and a new favorite. We will definitely be stopping in when we are out there in the fall for the leaf changes.
Take a look for a Sumburger near you at their website.

My 5 year old Brotha' from Anotha' Motha'

I really dig my Son Mikey. He has a great deal of enthusiasm.
Last week on the 30th, Michael Jr. Turned 5. that's right! 5!
We went through all of the cake gifts and stuff like that.

Than after all of that was done. We took Mikey down to Build-a-bear workshop.
He has had his eye on a Batman costume for his Monkey (with whom he goes everywhere) and with some recently accquired birthday money, (Thanks grandma and grandpa!)he was ready to stop that hole that was burning in his pocket.
While we were there we noticed that "Chunky Monkey" couldn't get into the suit. So...
It was time for a little liposuction. that's right! they'll do that for you. They even let us take the camera into the O.R.

That red spot is the heart they put in four years ago! cool huh!?!

Taking out the stuffing was easy and befor too long he was his new self.

"I'm Batmonkey!"
